GOOD BYE 2013,HELLO 2014

It is a few hours into 2014 and a lot of talk and excitement to end the year 2013 lingers in the air but I wanted to take off this time to review and thank God for the almost finished year.
Beginning with the fact that am close to seeing a new year...and seeing what it has to offer,at the end of last year I was still the same ordinary girl trying to make it through college but this year a lot of things have happened.Am so close to graduating,I was raised as  leader at church,I know my life purpose and am passionate about the development and transformation of the lives of the people in my country in all dimensions of life and oh...I learn a great deal of self control and taking hard decisions along the way.

2013 has left me different what we call growing up,the experience has taught me a lot, there were tears, laughter, indifference.apathy and empathy along the way but in all I learnt to keep my cool and to embrace life as it happens.Maybe,I sound so cheesy but i have retrospectively searched through this ending year and as I step at the boundaries of a new year am more than glad to cross over.
I have by far fulfilled most of my resolutions for the year 2013 and for that which I have not done am sure the next year will provide a lot of space to be fulfilled.
Now am not sure what the Lord has planned for me through the year 2014 but am sure it is nothing short of what I deserve. So as I set myself up for the challenges this coming year is going to bring I also brace myself up for the joy and quiet it will ring along.

Am thankful and grateful for everything that was done in this ending year maybe that is how my story was meant to be written and maybe the script would have been different, maybe not.So as I enter this new year I brace myself to the eventualities that will come along and I embrace the possibility of change along the way.I thank God that a lot will happen in 2014 that will leave me better than 2013.
To you out there, there is a lot we could have done in 2013,yet pitifully looking back will not change the fact that we didn't do it all. This year is gone, maybe time to redeem ourselves is in the next year.May you find a new hope as you enter the gates of 2014.May it be effortless and may it be a change filled year for you.No regrets just lessons to take from the ending year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Cordially;
Gloria T Nabaye

ON EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

This blog today is specifically dedicated to John Paul, whose gratitude has got me sited here on the computer today.Thank you JP!!!
This week I happened to attend to important public dialogues and think tanks one on how to find peaceful means to prevent strikes in universities through inter university collaboration and another on how business finance is or is not a  hindrance to the growth of small and medium enterprises. A lot was said and a lot was learnt,If I have learned a lot on Uganda's progress it was in these so many think tanks, debates and public dialogues that I have graciously attended over the years through my life at campus but what is the gist of education in this discourse today.

Just to go back to the basics, the Millennium Development Goals that are set to be achieved by all signatory countries by 2015 have a pillar on Promoting Universal Primary education by 2015.And if we have followed the discussions around UPE in Uganda you may concord with me that we are dilly darling and this bitter truth has kept us in denial of the true state of our primary schools both the UPE and government schools   (I am deliberately leaving out the secondary schools that are no less in the same state) So our government has continuously used the education system as a winning ticket in all election campaigns and some how they pass the bar with the voters(legally or illegally) suffice to say it is overwhelmingly true that no other school infrastructure has been built by government after the Obote 2 regime shocking on one part since were promised "fundamental change".Today as we speak children in many UPE school across the country stay hungry through the day and we claim they are at school learning, and teachers who with love for the practice and little pay come as late as 10:00am to teach their not so interested pupils.I could go on till the cows come home on the dire state of our UPE schools that are supposedly assumed to have the responsibility of reducing poverty and increasing development.

Suffice to say is the fact that to attain such an unrealistic goal is an insult to the Uganda populace(with all due respect to the heads that sat and thought so!).If I may but say,Countries that have  achieved poverty eradication and have attained sustainable development invested in education at all levels of learning and in a holistic manner, they invested in brain gain and pushed their citizens to the highest level of education and that created patriotism and a love for their country that kept them coming back even after attaining education in prestigious university known in the world.I use South Korea as my cadaver in this point, there was a time when South Korea had no university and we in Uganda has our Ivory tower Makerere University to show to the world today South Korea has some of the best universities and also humbly funds research project to our dying country.

Allow me say that no matter how many people we take through a lacking UPE system r even just take through primary level and we do not provide a quality and good education thereafter no development will have been attained at the end.A country's wealth is its people and what better way to develop a country than to invest in it populace and its education system. And educated person and go through life and survive the hurdles that would have thrown them back into poverty and it will take understanding the the human person is the driver of the development of his country to realize the need to invest in education at all levels of learning.
Now no matter what the GDP or the economics of our country says, investing the human person will by far remain the plausible if not the only plausible way to achieving a sustainable development because I know I have been educated and given a voice then surely I will educate those that come after me so that they too can be empowered.and may be in awestruck it could be a deliberate act of our nation and the custodian of our wealth(the government) to keep Ugandans in an ignorant and less educated state because that  makes it easy to rule an uneducated crowd, you then become their brain and only source of knowledge(thank God there is globalization,I could get an education else where if it failed in my own country)On a serious note,as long as we still flood our selves in the less educated zone and have more children born into a system of UPE that has delivered to fundamental change and no better brains to present the world with we are only but on a time bomb into the future, the future of our children and our children's children is at stake if the next generation happens to have more uneducated people than the educated one

Recommendations;
I could go on and curse the dark but I need to as well forward some important solutions that could help if my voice is just but heard among the many that have spoken in need to provide help for our great nation(not so great lately)
Education reforms,it has been said it is still going to be said but I would rather phrase it differently,The practical bit of education, ostensibly I would prefer a scrap of the last two years of high school and right out of junior high we send our students to Tertiary institution to learnt he practical skill and knowledge before they join college. The need in that is to spare the students in very remote areas to get practical intellect that could help them regardless of whether they make it to college or not. and consequently, they will know how to survive with a degree or with no degree.
Then intensely invest in the education sector form providing material for learning,to paying teachers and lectures(yes,I know this hurts the thieves in government)and also create a will that can lead to change, where there is a will there is always a way! This sound rather obnoxious because it is what has been said forever but may be all that is lacking is the will to cause change.
and last but not least is the need to invest in infrastructure, sometimes am appalled when our leaders stand and promise and fail to deliver ,that is the highest level of lack of integrity.Your word is the only thing that bare witness to you sometimes but if we can issue out lies as if it is a norm then we fail our moral fabric(if at all they still have one, anyway).
as I pen down or rather stop writing,I earnestly and continually hope for "fundamental change"for our education system at all levels so that it can also be part of the elements that will cause sustainable development in the long run.I will smile with admiration if even the little girl and boy in Amuru district could get the education that I am offered today.

DEVELOPMENT AS WE KNOW IT

In a need to understand Uganda's situation in regard to development,I found myself wondering about all the elements that make up sustainable development and how far we have come as a country.well this was a thought that drove me from side stepping from the direction of my previous posts so that I could indulge in matters that keep me awake all night thinking of what my children will meet for a country in a few years from now....
So development as we know it is the first blog in a line of very many others that will follow suit in the next couple of months.
Recently in the pipeline of the media houses stories have ranged from political havoc and power struggles to social impunity and so much for bad news but what was disturbing was the lack of will power to say anything about the situations from the citizens of our nation...it then got me wondering, are we really independent as a country or are in denial of the chain hands and numb lips that we have become over time..apathy comes with a price and it is until we rise to the front of freedom that we Will have a country to offer our children with dignity and with love because then they will be masters of the journey they will take.

May be to  indulge you more, on issues of the Asian nationalities and the two different rape cases that happened in a period of two weeks difference, one would have expected a concerned citizenry but to my dismay Ugandans sat back and watched  the disdain go on..and then came our very politicised police that  took sides with the Pakistan men (am sure then stopped  being men when they raped a lady) and many other political figures that disgustedly defended that so called investors. So to say in countries were those fellows come from rape is punishable with death and yet at home we sweetheart with such offenders.
May be a case like that explains why we are stuck in underdevelopment...Our lack of zeal to act and our lack of motivation to dare and change the status quo of what things are today.

Most developed countries are what they are because their citizenry was daring enough to dare and question the status quo.Mediocrity has eaten up the ability for many of my people to rise above the ordinary..
we either enjoy being poor or rather we have chosen to let thing be for reason best known to God.
It baffles me to see our neighbours are shifting their standards of living as well as their development into a better phase but we sit back and admire or envy what they turned out to be.Kenya ha by far run a race we have not even dared to start....I marvel every time I sit out and analyse the dynamics of the Kenyan economy especially if it compared with our own..we probably stop seeing growth in our economy many years back and we are living on the sugar coated belief that we are progressing towards development. Development as we know it in Uganda is a bluff sorry to say the bitter truth but what better way to address issues of stagnation than to air them out regardless of the response they get.

So what should we do, I will tell you,how about we start with changing our attitude towards issues that affect our society and its moral fabric...if it means taking to the streets or to social media(which has more radical effect in the world lately) then we should use it to effect change in our society.A country is only a country if its citizenry play a role in turning it into one.We Can go on living in apathy,we are human and we need to be in touch with our humane system in order for us to grow and develop properly. We need to step out of mediocrity it should settle well with us not at all.Our  greatest asset is our brain and if we use it limited then we are bound to stay stuck in underdevelopment.
Remember, looking to the government for every little need fails us a people who ought to work hard and surface in your own efforts. The government is only custodian f our resources for a while and we should remember governments come and go but we are always here and we need to be able to survive even at the change of government.
If for anything lets us learn to question the status quo be interested in change and cause it...Rome was not built in one day.learning has never really ended,we could learn from practical examples like Kenya who slowly but surely is rising to a different level in development.we as the citizenry run the development process,we hold the radar and the wheel of our development for a future that is going to appreciate us.
our generation needs to set an example for the next so that we do not take this blessed nation into a recession or a backward sprawl because lately we look like we are headed that way.
May God who gave us this earth and the knowledge to use it to our benefit look down and smile not because he gave you what you have been praying for(which often is to remove the president from power). The Lord Almighty, has nothing t change apart from guiding you to use your knowledge and understanding to cause change and survive mediocrity.and that in the end will deliver our long awaited development.
We can change development(which in any sense in under development) as we know it.
For God and My Country.

FORGETTING YOU!!!!

When they say a man initiates and a woman responds....
It is sounds like the ideal and proper thing...until the heart of a lady breaks the rules of attraction....
He was my fantasy...my everything
To be totally honest...I was irrational and totally obsessed.
But I know I need to get over him ...and soon.
Yesterday I could barely eat while in my melancholic,
Fray music rocking, sitting in my room looking very romance novelty-trance.
And then today I went through school in an unenthusiastic apathetic trance like state.
Just...I want to get over you,
I know I need to,but I don't know if I can...and I certainly can't picture doing it without some strange not so brief stint of deeply melancholic teenage depressing heartache.
Please don't tell me just to take up a new hobby or hangout with friend more often because I have tried that and it hasn't worked!
I'm in far too deep for that!
They say time heals all wounds and soothes all memories.
The only issue is this...
Imagine it like a clock and you keep waiting for the time to arrive when it will be over...
As time goes by...I will get a firm understanding with myself, that this il al be a memory in the future,it will be over with.I will forget you.

MAY BE....JUST MAY BE

May be,we were born to be great;
May be,just may be;

May be,we were born for a time as this;
May be,just may be,

May be we were born to be the pillars of strength for the feeble ones;
May be,just may be,

May be, we were born to emulate Christ;
May be, just may be,

May be we were born to be the light for the darkness in the hearts of men;
May be, just may be,

Every one around u needs us in some way or another;
May be, just may be!!!

FRIENDSHIPS,RELATIONSHIPS,LOVE AND LIVING

OPEN LETTER TO YOU....WHO IS READING.

So I have been running around in circles wondering why there is no inspiration to write today,I guess am getting in to habit of thinking that the world already knows it all.(which is a fallacy). Ironically, the only viable reason as to why I lacked motivation to write was because my motivation was slowly fading away from my sight....A friend of mine. We all write for a specific reason  but I write for the beauty that words have when they are written(you know that feeling you get when you are ignited to react to anything without the fear of them exploding in your face)
I chose to make sure that I patch up any blank spaces in my relationship with my friends until it fell on that one person that I needed to get my inspiration from, which takes me to the gist of today's little yet big indulgence.
Friendships have either made us on broken us regardless of the case they make up the greatest part of who we are. They help us go through the emotions of life and all that makes life what it is, is probably best lived out in the company of people we call friends.I was reading a book by William P Young that is titled The Shack and in more ways than one the subject of relationships,Love and living did not miss the pages of the book....It is true humanity can only live to its fullest in relationships and in love  yet something about that truth  still puzzles my mind to this day, not that I don't understand what it means but because we have made a great mess of these four words, friendships, relationships, love and living.
A story is told of a father that assaulted his two boys and his wife for many years until he killed one but even still he did not stop to question why, another is told of a friend that used all her time to belittle her friends in order for her to get the appraisal of being better. And me finally,I care too much but in the end I feel cheated for loving too much(am no saint though) and the story goes on,day after day something goes wrong in our relationships, the very true nature in which we are supposed to flourish to our greatest potential.

I took time to think through the why and the how of understanding our relationships and one thing came to my mind. "Reckless abandonment" to each other...the only reason why we fail each other is because we have our guard up and that makes us less likely to enjoy or even grow in our relationships...I know some one out there is a saying something like..what happens to trust? I also thought of the trust issues but don"t you think that our trust issues are a result of the guard we have put before our selves to label for others in bold signs that that is how far they can go in understanding and enjoying out existence?
Lately I have been putting aside most of my judgments about people and purposed to enjoy the moments we have together in total surrender to enjoying my time with them...and it paid off,I felt more happier and started to understand people a whole lot differently than before. There is more to the vulnerability we see in others and there is by far more to our friendships than we let ourselves see. To love others recklessly is to see the face of God,to understand him more than we have before.

So whether there  is the bitter sweet feeling about friendships, relationships, love and living I have chosen to stick with love,to dare to see the good in others and to celebrate all my friend regardless and maybe, just maybe the world will be a better place after I have led the way. From everyone for himself to everyone for each other. It is not good for you to be alone any more than it is not for me....Go and make your friendships count. And live to the fullest of every relationship.
Your friend
Gloria.

DOES DEAD EXPLAIN IT?

I should begin by saying sorry to myself,my audience that is yet to comment, for practically never writing for the past two months. Not that I didn't think of writing but I was left handicapped with the absence of technology and internet in the far off areas of my country.(Guess it comes with living in a third world country) Today is the fourth day into the West gate attack.Am grieving with many people in the world for a tragedy that is always caused by fellow human. It makes me wonder why the most intelligent of all created beings would fail to live in harmony with all creation including himself?#we are one.
That brings me to the gist of  today, the Ugandan youth and their stand in the future we are accidentally building, don't quote me wrong along the way.I love Uganda and I love God but most of all am passionate about this thing called growth and development. And if are ever going to be one and grow to the height of development that brings us a smile for a day and a surplus for our banks and reserves to keep then we ought to assess the role that we play and we ought to play to the cause of development. But first things first, what is wrong with the Ugandan youth?
I would underscore on a question like that!!!Because on the go,usually one will just say everything is wrong with the Ugandan youth but in my eyes,The system is super wrong for and with the Ugandan youth. With the mad rush between growing so fast physically to the super speeding technological transfer, new ideologies that are fast spread by the ever so busy global world you miss seeing the dangerous cancers that flock into our society and cripple our forward movement. One case of the cancer is Sports betting(God it even sound foul in writing) It all began with the tycoon casino, which of course will be argued to be developmental something I still fail to see.and then slowly but surely the cancer grew into a poverty machine that has drained every youth I know(even those I don't know as well) An average working youth could be earning 250 thousand to 300 hundred thousand after paying taxes and without considering the bills that are hard to finish in one sitting. So with the addition of betting on all the games being played in countries thousands of miles away you sure an tell that the journey to development on an individual level is already distorted. And with all the plausible situations that could damage our development still sports betting is at a fast growing pace because of a system that believes in receiving taxes in any way be it evil or bad!Well a lot of taxes for our country come from wasting away money into machines that have been programmed to give you a first win and then cheat you of the rest of the money...something the youth have adamantly refused to refrain from.

The other cancer is self pity(you know that inner voice that tells you "its not your fault") A lot of the youth love the routine self pity provides.Between waking up with a lazy look  and then sitting around going through old newspapers, then  halfheartedly checking the job mart for the job listings and then checking the sports section with more determination for the ladies they will be on social media 24/7 chatting away and making programs for the night that also doesn't delay to arrive. And if by interest you ask what they are ding with their lives the joy of blaming the government and the education system is not far from the lips in the response. In as much as part of the duty and role of Government is to ensure the safety of all people including job security and welfare. The onus is on us to be creative thinkers  and risk takers,to dare and think out of the box of being given and receiving from others handouts of pledged help for our well being. We are no different from the people in the so called developed countries,no offense but we have to get away from the indoctrinated thought pattern that looks to God and the self pity that we nurse with a bottle of alcohol every time we think of how stuck we are.God has given us a mind of his own to be co-creators and thinkers of better solutions but we have often fallen into pattern of crying out to God every single night to come to our rescue something Jesus did already! We need to use the wisdom that God has given us to pull our selves and Uganda out of dire stagnation in regard to development.
And for the love of the bottle,It up to you, you and you to discipline yourself enough to know that you will never think well and smart with a mind full of toxic waste.(alcohol will always erupt our thought pattern)

My case is a big one.....I could write on till dusk but time is money in my world,so I will address other issues on a another day.So I leave the choice to every Ugandan to decide whetehre dead will forever explain our situation or we will change for the better starting now.

FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.

STOP SEARCHING FOR PERFECTION

Am not perfect... am just right for you
Am not perfect and never will be...

Am human and prone to err;
Am no angel and am not a saint at that...

Am no mirror of perfection,
Am a work in progress...

But I will tell you all about me...

Am the voice of reason you would want to hear
when you are going astray....
A  mood sweeter on a rough day...
A pot of joy to your sad days...

Am just a lady learning to
always keep a beauty got from God's cousel

I will make you laugh even when my jokes are so lame...
I fear God and He comes first in all...
but you are a symbol of God here with me...
So I will resect you, honour  and a dore you and be your greatest cheerleader...

I can not walk through life insenstive of other people's plight
So don't get mad when I show concern to the begger on the street,to the  waitress,to the sweeper...
For that is who I am with in...those people need a smile every other time
Iam a hearty being but am learning the prosepcts of a gentel and quiet spirit so I can let you lead....

I will let you be everything a man was meant to be but I promise you one thing...I am not perfect am human.

THE FEMININE JOURNEY-TOTAL ANARCHY

Mothers bore babies...
Babies grew into girls...
Girls into little ladies...
Ladies into mighty women...
Women into Mothers...
And the cycle went on..

But could there be another path?she asked...
A girl into a gentlewoman...
A gentle woman into a man...
A man  into a father..

Alas!!! Is it even acceptable???
Society asked
Can we go far in stretching God's hands...
The Potter chose that trend for her...
He thought it worth to fulfill her purpose,
So she was made to be a great princess of His...
He made her beautifully and wonderfully...oh and fearfully
That every beholder of her beauty would envy the maker...
And society accepted her..
Gave her a beautiful name..she suited it perfectly...
Then they gave her a feminine learning so she would a mother someday...

But No she wanted to be....a man!!!
So she chose a woman for herself
One she would bestow love on..
One that would play Eve for her
And He gave her away too

Society mourns with a breaking heart..
It can no longer take her...
She betrayed her destiny...she stepped the limit
Because the Journey had already been marked out.

I AM UGANDAN

I am Ugandan,I am an African....and I have been taught in the ways of eloquence, etiquette  and life
style that holds a mixed meaning....

But when I sit to understand who I am,
I find an African lady...
one with a  genteel way of speech, careful walking,

And I look to respect the African man...
A heart of obedience to the ways of my lifestyle.
A lady,an African woman,a Ugandan.

I speak a language not of my origin but I understand my fellow country men when they speak my birth language...regardless of the language I speak...I lead my people home...

I sway with delight, laughing all the way in  giggles of the Ugandan soul...
I smile with  with contentment that has been bestowed by the little meaningful joys in my life...
I sleep with a satisfaction that I am in the right skin...The dark sun burnt African skin...
And I boast within because with in this careful, wonderfully, fearfully made being is blood...
African blood...Ugandan pride

I AM UGANDAN

DO WE REALLY GO PAST IT ALL?

Today I was so taken at the pattern of my thoughts..I love Uganda and am glad I hail from here but what good can I testify in the trend of things lately?
You see we have been raised to classify ourselves from a tribal view...and am tired of blaming the West and its role in this,i for one believe that when they left our country they gave us the power to change every aspect of their existence on our land in what I term as creative destruction,we were left to create a common history and a common direction for our future as Ugandans...but we chose to move on in the left colonial system.
On the issue of tribes, language and  every other aspect of culture am taken back to realize that we as Ugandans live everyday against each other,we are not Ugandans in our home land,we are either baganda, banyakole, bagisu or we are Muslims Christians and so forth but we never adhere to the fact that we are Ugandans unless we are out of Uganda.

On the issue of development and progress,What are we up to Ugandans? It is very disturbing to know that our legislatures(who are by far many)can table the most degrading policies and bills, take for example the two bills that have recently caused  chaos among our laymen- the marriage and divorce bill and the pornography bill.Lets be real when did legislatures take the place of the church and the mosques and how is one's marriage and it ending a concern to Ugandans deepest needs? The pornography bill, seriously aren't we shooting ourselves in the foot,or aren't we turning this country into a religious battlefield,The minister virtue of the fact he hails from Karamoja knows better than that not to table such bills but to bring forth issues of the locals of Karamoja.
When legislatures sit in the parliament to debate child's play bills am so marveled. Suffice to say is that we were at a time when we were tackling the scandals in OPM. Which had reached the most steaming point and emotions were high for those involved and all of a sudden these two bills are table before our very eyes we got distracted in the accountability issues for every Ugandans taxes and donor funds, don't we ever want to reduce the cancer of corruption that is eating on everyone moral fabric?

50 years after independence and you will smile in flabergust!!!I will tell you Ugandans,You have one big ref feral hospital that can deal on most of your health issues, mark my words one that was built by the colonial bureaucrats years after a certain man was sworn in and promising that his government was not "A change of guns but of fundamental change"and even today Ugandans are still waiting for that fundamental change. Obote 2 (not that he was the best) saw it best to have 22 districts and in each district he put a ref feral hospital today we have 132 districts in the need to decentralize but these districts cannot sustain themselves or even bring social well being for the people and Ironically people cry and eat rats for districts.

So much is pending a lot that is limited by space and time but imperative to all Ugandans is the need to cause a smart and creative destruction of the old colonial systems and infrastructure(power as well).
To create a nation with Ugandans and not tribal chauvinists,to create a productive population(will dwell on this one in my next blog) You see a country can only development in an equal measure to its population and sad to say we are one lazy population with a great beggar syndrome. To create legislators that table bills on skills development projects on building better government institution,on creating a problem free population. Our greed as the people of Uganda has left in an investment junk economy we take on anything as long as it bring ready market and taxes but the problem is on what product they are selling to the Ugandans(On the case of sports betting,am so disgusted)We need a love for our country something the majority lack.Only then can we move forward a s a nation and a state called Uganda.

MY NEIGHBOUR'S HEART

Why do we seek perfection in others when we  are equally imperfect?
Why do we refuse to forgive when we were also forgiven?
Why do we hate yet we have been loved?
Why are we mean yet we have been given?
Why do we hurt others yet we love peace for ourselves?
Why do we discriminate yet we have been  chosen regardless of who we are?
Why do we judge others yet we have been spared from terrible histories?
Why do we despise others yer we have been favoured?
Why are we self righteous yet we are all sinners and have fallen short....?
Why.... do we love ourselves and forget our neighbours?
Aren't we to love our neighbours as we love ourselves?

THE THINGS WE TAKE FOR GRANTED

Do you remember how your brother gave you a call just ti check on you or how your friend gave you some moneyout of sheer care?

Do you remember how your friend called just to let yo know they miss you...all these we often take for granted and look at them as r andom things our friends and family ought to do...

But they go a deep way in making us feel special in every little way,We often take for granted the fact that we eat, breath and do all we can every single day..but   only when you  see some one at the verge is when we can contemplate the need  to be here and celebrate everyday like a miracle...

So everyday as we go about our daily routines may we stop for a second and thank God for yet another day,for good health, for the friends we have because in every way they make us feel special(it is not everyday that we find stranges that love you for who you are and want to know you better) for your family because it completes who you are and where you hail from.

In every simpl thing we do let us be charged to make these things special because they make life the miracle it is,yet we often forget  and take them for granted.

A YOUNG WOMAN'S PRAYER.

A man...
A God fearing man...a friend,a gentle genteel man,Lord.
That's who I pray to be sent my way..

A well of strength so You can stay my ocean of strength...
One that will love me like You loved the Church.

My comfort in times of uncertaint....my second love after You,God.
A man after your own heart....

Atrue character of God's workmanship
A man who will treat me like a princess....cause that is what Iam.
A daughter of a King.

One that has gone through your trianing....and he hungers after your very word.
And then when he comes Lord,He might find a lady with a fear of the Lord...
So he will forever know how to protect your own.

A young woman's prayer.

MAURICE KIRYA

We never really get to appreciate people when they are around for the great work they have done to challenge our being and to evoke our desire to be extraordinary people.
The past few hours have taught me the power in letting others know that they are doing a great job,it is like telling them that they have lived their purpose through .

I want to appreciate, congratulate, celebrate, cheer, hail and thank MAURICE KIRYA.....
For a great job done(surely you speak for the future heartbeats) Amazing how he patiently waited, earnestly worked, little by little he built momentum to who he is today.
His genre of music...soul which he chooses to call Mwooyo sets himapart from the set out trend of music Ugandans listen to. I LOVE his two albums(they totally set him out of the crowd) Misubaawa and The book of Kirya. They speak volumes of the true sound of soul music.
Am o the way to learn all of them lyrically inorder to keep his music alive with its true meaning.

He might never get to know how I adore his musicbut atleast a thousand eyes will see for themselves when they read this.To him it's ben along time coming and it finally paid off in due season.
Thankyou Maurice.....Job well done.

THE NEXT LEVEL OF DISATISFACTION

Apparently people are always dissatisfied with just about everything.
They are dissatisfied with the systems they live in,with the people around them, with the world as it is, but the next level of dissatisfaction (unfortunately) is with self.
Lately everyone is dissatisfied with who they are,how they look and why they look the way they do.
It is to this regard that in the near future we might have dummies walking down the streets, the roads and high ways of mother Earth.Because today as I write one can purchase everybody part to enhance how they look at any cosmetology hospital, all for one reason...we seem to hate every bit of ourselves!!!
Am Africa and above everything an African woman believes in is herself but she too can't afford to credit  herself the African man's approval...half the time she is made to feel second best in everything(more reason to hate who she really is)
We are beautiful and handsome in every way,not as the world judges beauty but how the creator does...
True beauty from the inside...outer beauty being a bonus to who we really look like.
Be the judge of who you are not in the mirror aloe but also from great counsel, the good book and from the people around you.Do not let the world give you a standard of how beautiful or handsome you were set out to be because in the end we hold the facts about our selves.

IMPRESSIONS 2013

Setting out for 2013 this was the ultimate need an audience to see....
impression 2013 is set out to give chance and vocalize my deepest thoughts,my discernment and what really goes on in the mind of a 20 year old the south of the Sahara.
Apparently my pages have  a need to revisit culture, the moral value system, the need to stay in the marked zone but with an avenue to venture beyond our very being when opportunity sets out.
Am open to criticisms, scrutiny, supplements, comments, complements and AOB...
The idea is  to learn, relearn and unlearn at all venues.
Lets' get the discussions rolling Ladies and Gentlemen.
